Pokémon Co. teams up with ASDA to celebrate Pokémon Day
Head in store for fun galore!
The Pokémon Company International has partnered with leading supermarket ASDA to bring customers special fun-filled events at six of its major stores across February and March. Celebrating Pokémon Day on 27 February, and heralding the launch of an exciting new Pokémon toy range and a new Trading Card Game (TCG) release, the Pokémon at ASDA events strengthen the growing partnership between the iconic pop culture brand and the retail giant.
The immersive activity includes character visits from Pikachu along with a huge coloring wall bursting with Pokémon for shoppers to color in. There are also special activity sheets and Pikachu sun visors for customers to take home. A selection of products from across the popular Pokémon toy line and the hugely successful Trading Card Game will be on display for shoppers to browse and purchase.

Master toy partner Jazwares’ award-winning range includes battle figures, 8” plush and the Clip and Go. The latest TCG release in January saw the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield Series reach its towering peak with the Crown Zenith expansion, featuring an all-star assembly of Pokémon and Trainers to celebrate the era of Pokémon V. Over 160 cards include 3 brand-new Radiant Pokémon, 5 colossal Pokémon VMAX, 8 shining Pokémon VSTAR, and 17 powerful Pokémon V plus 70 cards with special artwork in the Galarian Gallery (available in store whilst stocks last). The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet expansion, which adopts an updated take on the Pokémon ex gameplay mechanic, launches worldwide on 31 March.
