SNL shares a behind-the-scenes look at their Mario Kart skit

Back the start of February, Saturday Night Live featured a skit that offered a gritty take on Mario Kart. This skit was fronted by Pedro Pascal, the actor you can currently see portraying Joel in HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us. The writers at Saturday Night Live used that show as a jumping point for the pre-recorded skit, and you can catch it once again above.

As you can tell, a bit more money, time and effort went into the Mario Kart skit than others on SNL. Following the rave reactions to the skit, SNL has put together a video showcasing all the work the team went through in order to bring the unique take on Mario Kart to life.
