Resident Evil 7 Cloud rental pass expiring in Japan

In North America and Europe, those who look to play Resident Evil 7 Cloud on Switch can download a demo to give the game a try, and then purchase the full version. Over in Japan, players also have the option to purchase a cheaper 180-day rental version of Resident Evil 7 Cloud. Unfortunately, that option will soon be discontinued.

Capcom has announced that the 180-day rental pass for Resident Evil 7 Cloud is going to be removed from the Switch eShop. Those interested have until May 29th, 2023 to purchase the 180-day rental pass. Those who already have a rental pass will have to make sure they use it before May 29th, 2023.

Along with that, Capcom has stated that anyone who has a 180-day rental pass will also have a discount on the unlimited-access version of Resident Evil 7 Cloud. This discount will knock $14 off the asking price, and must be used before August 31st, 2023. The unlimited-access version of Resident Evil 7 Cloud will remain on the Switch eShop.
