It’s a new week, which means new sales data. You can look below for the top 40 games sold in the UK during the week ending March 4th, 2023. Metroid Prime Remastered debuted at No. 2 right before Hogwarts Legacy. As we reported on before, this makes it the fourth-biggest physical launch in the Metroid series.

It’s worth noting that Metroid Prime Remastered missed out on first place by just 1,000 units. As we said earlier, this is the fourth biggest physical Metroid game launch of all time in the UK, and sales of this boxed version are 45% lower than the original release of Metroid Prime on the GameCube.

Finally, Metroid Prime Remastered is the second biggest physical release in the UK of the year so far, ahead of the Dead Space remake and Fire Emblem Engage. As usual, Nintendo doesn’t include digital sales figures in their data, so it’s likely Metroid Prime Remastered is considerably more successful than reported here.

Furthermore, both Bayonetta 3 and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope have re-emerged in the chart, sitting at No. 28 and No. 20, respectively.
