Soyo Oka was a composer who worked with Nintendo during the 90’s, her most famous projects include Super Mario All Stars, Pilotwings, and Super Mario Kart. She is credited as the composer for all time classics like “Light Plane”, “Donut Plains”, and “Rainbow Road” and she’s just released a new album that celebrates this history.

“LOOP816” is a new chiptune album created by Oka that was definitely inspired by her time with Nintendo. The album consists of 9 tracks 5 in an 8-bit style and 4 in a 16-bit style.

“LOOP816” is available to stream at all the usual suspects, Apple Music, Spotify and more. We highly suggest checking the Tweet above if you’re interested.
