Koei Tecmo shares Atelier Ryza 3 commemorative character illustration gallery

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key is set to launch on Switch March 24th, 2023. Ahead of that release, Koei Tecmo reached out to a number of talented artists to ask them for tributes to the upcoming game’s colorful cast of characters. That resulted in an incredibly gallery of 18 different pieces of fantastic art.

The artwork collaboration kicked off with a piece from popular Twitter artist Hungry Clicker (@click_burgundy). A sample of that artwork can be seen at the top of this post, but it’s just a small piece of the full image.

If you’d like to see the complete gallery of tributes, which features Ryza along with a few other characters, you can sift through them all here. These pieces use various art styles and approaches in their tributes, but it’s definitely safe to say there’s not a bad one in the bunch!

In Atelier Ryza 3, the story begins when a group of islands called Kark Isles appear near Ryza’s—the protagonist’s—hometown. Seeing this as a threat to their home, Ryza and her friends investigate the isles and discover ruins with a huge gate. Just as Ryza approaches the gate, a strange voice echoes in her head, telling her to reach the Code of the Universe. What is it that lies beyond the gate, and what does the “Code of the Universe” mean? In hopes of finding a way to save their home, Ryza and her friends set off on a great adventure that revolves around a Key and the roots of alchemy.
