Just last week, we shared news of ghostpia Season One, a visual novel hitting Switch in Japan on March 23rd, 2023. That version will have an English option, so you can hop in early and grab the title if you can’t wait for the official localization.

Last week, we also learned that the title would be published outside of Japan, but we didn’t know when or by who. While we still don’t know the timing, PQube has confirmed that they’ll be handling publishing duties in North America and Europe. The only info they shared on timing was a vague 2023 date.

‘ghostpia’ is an immersive visual novel following Sayoko, the only foreigner in town. She is sharing a room with a mysterious girl Yoru but wants to go back to her hometown. She crosses the empty snowy desert searching, does this home exist? Can she remember what she has forgotten? All she can do is dream.

They say this is an ideal town, a true utopia for ghosts…but is it really? Can you really call this place a utopia? More than anything Sayoko longs to return home, but that may prove harder than it seems. With forgotten memories to recover and a mysterious girl to investigate Sayoko has her hands full.

‘ghostpia’ uses a vibrant lo-fi aesthetic that looks like a picture book, inspired by nostalgia and adorned with glitches and noise. Follow Sayoko’s captivating story as she searches for answers in this isolated town, surrounded by a vast desert of snow and unable to fit in with the ghostly atmosphere.

Enjoy a rich cinematic experience with 100% pure narrative gameplay to fully immerse yourself in ghostpia’s deep story.
