Back in January of this year, we learned that Kadabra would finally be making a return to the Pokémon TCG after over 2 decades. Kadabra was removed due to a lawsuit from mentalist Uri Gellar, who claimed that Pokémon Co. stole his persona/act to create the Pokémon. In the decades since, Gellar has said he took the wrong course of action and should have never filed the lawsuit.

This has all paved the way for Kadabra’s return in Pokémon Card 151, a new set releasing in Japan on June 16th, 2023. Today brings us the very first look at Kadabra’s return, which you can see in the artwork at the top of this post.

The Pokémon Card 151 set will feature the first 151 Pokémon, and the cards will be in Pokedex order. This release is considered a “Strengthening Expansion Pack” set, and each booster box will come with 20 packs for 5,800 yen.
