Jack Black wants to see Pedro Pascal as Wario in a Mario movie sequel

Will the Super Mario Bros. animated movie get a sequel? Only time will tell, but if Jack Black has a say it will, and he’s already got another Hollywood A-lister in mind to join the cast.
In an interview with GameSpot, Jack Black talked about a potential sequel to the Super Mario Bros. movie. Black didn’t confirm anything, but he did say that if a sequel does come around, Bowser might not even be part of it. If that’s the case, Black has another famous Nintendo character he’d like to see, and he also thinks he has the perfect actor for it.
“It’s not a given that Bowser will return. You know, I did a few Kung Fu Panda movies, and it was a different villain every movie. They may do the same thing.
You know, what if there is a more powerful, more evil villain? Then I may need to be turned to help Mario and the rest to defend our universe against some other unseen force of evil. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Wario. Pedro Pascal is Wario.”
