The final numbers for game sales in Europe have come in for March 2023, and we’ve got the breakdown. First up, let’s take a look at the top 10 games across Europe for March 2023.
As you might have noticed, there is no Nintendo game in the top 10 for March. The highest-placing Nintendo title was Metroid Prime Remastered at No.11, and it’s also important to remind you that Nintendo only reports physical numbers, whereas all other games/companies on the list combine digital/physical sales for their chart placements.
Along with this, we also have some details on how the hardware side of things went.
- console hardware sales were up 67% to 570,000 units
- 1.5 million add-on products were sold across the markets, a rise of 13% over the year before
- 1.9 million points cards and wallets were sold in March 2023, a drop of 1.9% over the year before
Finally, and most likely the info you’re waiting for, the PS5 took first place, while Switch snagged second and Xbox came in third overall.
