Fans reimagine Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as a GBC game, complete with an animated commercial

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is less than a month from launch, and people are coming up with unique ways to share their excitement.

There’s no doubt Tears of the Kingdom will push both The Legend of Zelda series and the Switch itself to its limits, but what if the game were coming out for another system altogether? That’s the premise animators Channy and Kimberly came up with, which steered them towards creating a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Game Boy Color tribute.

The video above shows a fantastic animated tribute to Tears of the Kingdom, which eventually leads to mock footage of what the game might look/play like if it were releasing on the Game Boy Color. There’s even a fancy (albeit fake) Tears of the Kingdom-themed Game Boy Color to go along with it!

Call me crazy, but I’d absolutely love to take a crack at a GBC version of Tears of the Kingdom. Let’s see if a fan out there actually makes it a reality!
