Pulseman is a game originally made for the Sega Genesis and now available on the Nintendo Switch Online service. While the game is beloved by many and considered a classic, we thought it was important to highlight one aspect from the game that could affect newer players that may want to try it: flashing lights and effects. These can be fairly harmful to people who are photosensitive or for those who suffer from epilepsy.

While this is not an issue for the entirety of the game, the flashing effects start happening fairly early during the first few levels and only get more intense towards the end. If you are sensitive to flashing lights or have been diagnosed with photosensitive epilepsy, it is important to be aware of this risk before playing Pulseman.

If you experience any symptoms such as dizziness, lightheadedness, or visual disturbances while playing the game, it is important to stop playing immediately and seek medical attention if necessary. Even if you are someone who doesn’t suffer from these conditions, we still urge you to be careful.

While we all enjoy gaming and trying out new games, your health and safety should always come first, have fun and stay safe!
