Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's theme gets a Game Boy demake
Now how about a full-on game demake!?
Ever since the final trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom dropped, people have been gushing over the game’s main theme. I know I’ve had it stuck in my head ever since! If you need a little refresher on what it sounds like (minus all gameplay spoilers), you can give it a listen above.
That theme no doubt built up hype for Tears of the Kingdom to an even higher level, making the wait for launch day that much tougher. What’s a fan to do in-between now and then? Why not enjoy that same theme song in an all-new way!
Musician New Age Retro Hippie has shared a demake of the Tears of the Kingdom thing in the video above, and it takes inspiration from the Game Boy days. According to the video, everything you hear in the song was recorded right from the internal workings of the Game Boy, making the song as legit as it can gets.
Even though the orchestral version of the Tears of the Kingdom theme is unbelievable, this Game Boy demake goes to show how strong the composition is in general. It doesn’t matter what instruments are used to play this tune, as it sounds fantastic no matter what!
