NieR:Automata shipments and digital sales reach 7.5 million worldwide

Back in October 2022, Square Enix had revealed that NieR:Automata, across all versions, had moved 6.5 million units in physical shipments and digital sales combined. We’re now 6 months removed from that release, and it’s now very clear the Switch release has helped NieR:Automata climb to new heights.

Square Enix has now revealed that NieR:Automata has reached 7.5 million units shipped/digital copies sold worldwide. That means in just the span of 6 months, the game has moved another 1 million units! There’s no doubt a very healthy chunk of that 1 million is thanks to the Switch release, although we don’t have a specific number to share.
