Bugsnax Switch resolution detailed, will not include gryo aiming
Sorry to bug you
As we shared earlier today, the “whimsical snack-catching adventure” Bugsnax is heading to Switch on April 28th, 2022. The game was originally a PS5 launch title, which has left many wondering about the finer details of the Switch port. We now have a handful of those details to share with you.
Young Horses, the team behind the game, has confirmed that Bugsnax will run at 720p and 30fps on Switch. It wasn’t specified as to whether those numbers are for docked, handheld, or both. As for the port itself, that was mostly handled in-house by Young Horses, but they did receive help from Enduring Games.
Finally, we now know Bugsnax won’t include any gyro-aiming support, which seems like a real shame considering the gameplay. Apparently the team tried to implement gyro controls, but they weren’t happy with how things were coming together, so they went the traditional controls route.
