For awhile now, Nintendo has been releasing commercials for the Switch that spotlight specific games, but they do so with a catchy tune accompanying the footage. We’ve seen these ads pop up in Japan for Splatoon 3, Super Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and more. The thing is, we’ve never seen these officially translated…until now.

Out of nowhere, the official Nintendo of Southeast Asia YouTube channel has added a new commercial called “Hop, Chop, Splat, Oh-no!,” and it’s an English translation of the commercials Japan has been seeing for months. As a matter of fact, the commercial seen above is exactly the same as the Japanese one we shared just a week ago! This spot features Splatoon 3, Super Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Nintendo releases a ton of commercials and ads in Japan that never make it outside of the country, which makes it all the more surprising they’ve given this series of Japanese-centric commercials an English translation. Now let’s see if they officially bring these outside of Southeast Asia and into NA/EU!
