A sequel to TAITO Milestones, a collection of classic Taito-developed games, was announced for Switch two weeks ago. At that time, we learned that TAITO Milestones 2 would include Ben Bero Beh, Dino Rex, Gun Frontier, KiKi KaiKai, Liquid Kids, Metal Black, The Legend of Kage, The NewZealand Story, and more. Last week it was announced that Solitary Fighter would also be included, and today brings us the reveal of yet another classic title to be available in the package.
We now know that the 1989-released arcade shoot ‘em up Darius II will be featured in TAITO Milestones 2. The specifics on extra gameplay features have not been shared, but expect more information in the near future.
Additionally, TAITO Milestones 2 has received a finalized released in Japan. It will launch on August 31st, 2023 for ¥5,720 yen. No localization has been announced at this time.
