CD-i game "Zelda's Adventure" gets unofficial Game Boy port
You, Zelda, are the hero!
There was a bit of a dark time in Nintendo’s history where they allowed their IP to be used for games on the Philips CD-i. This paved the way for new Mario and Legend of Zelda titles on the platform, but they were created by developers that had absolutely nothing to do with Nintendo. Nintendo’s input on these games was incredibly minimal at best, and as you no doubt know, their quality was disappointing to say the least.
One of those games was Zelda’s Adventure, which is widely considered to be the better of the two original Zelda titles that released on the CD-i. That’s not saying much, of course, as both games are incredibly low quality. If there games in the Legend of Zelda franchise that fans haven’t played (and are better for it!), these are the two.
Well, now you have the chance to experience Zelda’s Adventure in a whole new way. While Nintendo no doubt wants fans to forget these licensed titles ever existed, hacker/modder John Lay has taken Zelda’s Adventure and completely reworked it for the Game Boy. This homemade demake uses Link’s Awakening as a base to rebuild Zelda’s Adventure, which results in a version that is more modest visually, but no doubt a better gameplay experience.
If you want to learn more about this project or give it a go yourself, you can find everything you’ll need here.

1M agoBut I thought you don't share download links for stuff like this...?
Anyway, I'm sure that this port plays a lot better than the original.

1M agoWell, I foresee Nintendo shutting this down in less than 10 days. Commence downloading.

1M agoThey had THREE Cd-i Zelda games. Strangely, two of them starred Zelda and one starred Link.
