Pokémon TCG cards get the spotlight on Antiques Roadshow
I guess Pokémon cards are 'antiques' now!
You know Antiques Roadshow. It’s the show that’s somehow always on your TV in the background when visiting your parents. Wait, is that just me? Well anyway, the long-running PBS program is still going strong, and it recently had a segment that discussed Pokémon in considerable detail.
On Antiques Roadshow, people show up and bring an ‘antique’ with them to see if it’s worth any money. Literally anything can be brought in for appraisal, and in one recent episode, someone brought in a Pokémon TCG collection from 1999 to see if it was worth anything.
