As you know, Nintendo is calling it quits with various Wii U/3DS online interactions in the near future, and that’s obviously going to impact a lot of titles. Two of those games are Bravely Default and Bravely Second, and Square Enix has shared an outline for the services and features that will soon come to an end.

Square Enix gave a detailed breakdown of what will halt and when for these titles, which you can read in full below.

Tuesday, March 28, 2023, 9:00 a.m. (JST) – Nintendo eShop service ends

  • SP Drinks will no longer be available for purchase in the Nintendo eShop.

Wednesday, March 29, 2023, 16:00 (JST) to Monday, April 17, 2023, 16:00 (JST) – Network server maintenance

  • Network functions including Update Data and registering friends via the internet will be discontinued.

May 2023 – Announcement #2

  • We will provide details on the impact of the server shutdown.

Friday, June 30, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. (JST) – Network server shutdown

Square Enix says they plan to explain the impact of the network sever shutdown in announcement #2 in May, but they expect Net Friend Invites and sending Nemeses will no longer be available. That said, even after the server is shut down, the games themselves will be playable to their endings. Finally, StreetPass between 3DS players will also still be available.
