Hey, that's Mii!
You might remember hearing that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s many NPCs were actually built with a modified version of the Mii creator that Nintendo first created for the Wii. Well, it seems Nintendo was really happy with how that played out, as they’ve returned to the same method for Tears of the Kingdom!
As you can see in the image above, Nintendo has once again used their modified Mii creator to come up with some fresh faces for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You’d have to imagine this makes NPC development a lot less time consuming, allowing Nintendo to focus on dialog instead of design.
Nintendo has always found some pretty ingenious ways to revisit their various ideas over the years, and this is just one more example of that. Now let’s see what game causes Nintendo to return to the Mii maker next!
