Bloody new screens revealed for AEW: Fight Forever

There’s been much talk of THQ Nordic struggling with the ESRB rating for AEW: Fight Forever, as they wanted the game to get a Teen rating, and that seemed pretty impossible with the amount of blood in the game. Now that the title is locked in for a June 29th, 2023 release with a Teen rating, THQ wants to assure fans that this will still be a very bloody affair.

The official AEW: Fight Forever Twitter account has shared two new screens for the game, and both are filled to the brim with ‘color,’ as they say in the wrestling industry. If you were looking for AEW’s debut game to match the usual antics that you see in the ring, these screens should make you quite happy.

Recognized for its retro approach to design including hand-crafted animations and nostalgic arcade feel, AEW: Fight Forever presents wrestling fans with their first chance to pull off wrestling moves only seen on the wildly popular AEW programming. Online co-op wrestling is going completely next level with Tag-Team matches that feature sequences of team maneuvers performed with simple commands.
