LIVE A LIVE producer details how a sequel could happen
So you're saying there's a chance...
It took LIVE A LIVE literally decades to make its way outside of Japan. The title originally released on the Super Famicom, and it stayed in Japan until Square Enix cooked up an HD-2D remake for the Switch. Now that players around the world are familiar with the LIVE A LIVE universe, they’re wondering if a sequel could happen.
In honor of LIVE A LIVE launching on PlayStation formats and Steam, LIVE A LIVE Producer Takashi Tokita answered a number of questions about the franchise. One of those questions pertained to the chance of a sequel, to which Tokita said the following.
If the Steam and Playstation Editions of the game can sell a million copies, then I would be very confident in proposing a Live A Live 2 to the company! So I need all of you guys help with that!
Again, the only reason the Switch version wasn’t mentioned is due to this being a Q&A tied to the release of LIVE A LIVE on Steam and PlayStation. If you’d like to see all the questions answered by Tokita, you can watch the video below.
