Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sees second-biggest Switch launch in Spain, best Zelda debut ever

The numbers from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s launch are still trickling in, and now we have some insight into how things went in Spain.

As far as launch weekend sales go, Tears of the Kingdom managed to move a whopping 170k physical units in Spain. 12k of those units were the Limited Edition, so there’s definitely some Zelda die-hards in the region!

This 170k figure is enough to give The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom the second best debut ever for a Switch game, losing out to just Pokémon Scarlet and Violet at 200k+. The number was good enough to snag the best debut for a Legend of Zelda game in Spain, though! Equally impressive, Tears of the Kingdom is already the third best-selling title in the series in Spain, with Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess ahead of it.
