Hardware, software sales for Japan's fiscal year 2022-2023 revealed
Nothing can touch the Switch
While there’s still a lot of time left in 2023 as far as the actual year goes, the fiscal year has come to a close. That means we have a year’s worth of data to mull over in terms of hardware and software sales! Let’s kick things off by looking at total hardware moved in Japan from March 28th, 2022 to March 25th, 2023.
While the PS5 defintiely had a good year, you can see the Switch was still far-and-away the best-selling hardware in Japan for the most recent fiscal year. With where the numbers are right now, it appears Switch will be in for an even tougher fight next fiscal year, but it’s still the odds-on favorite to take the top position.

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. Once again, we see the entire top 10 dominated by Switch titles. If that’s not a sign of Nintendo’s continued dominance in Japan, I don’t know what is!
