New AK-xolotl trailer shows roguelite gameplay and maniacal baby Axolittles

Today, Playstack and 2Awesome revealed a brand new gameplay trailer for the upcoming title AK-xolotl, the cutest, deadliest and ONLY top-down roguelike shooter featuring AK-wielding Axolotls.

After the initial announcement and demo earlier this year, the latest trailer now focuses on the roguelite elements in the game, including the adorable “nurturing” system. Whether through nature or nurture, players will be able to raise their own, extremely violent axolittles.

For these axolittles, the food chain is merely a suggestion and the line between prey and predator can easily be erased with an AK-47 and an intimidating range of superpowers.

This trailer provides a glimpse of some unique abilities your Axolittles can inherit from the food you cook for them following different recipes, ranging from a quick self-heal to destroying all your enemies in the ultimate sacrifice. With over 100 new Axolittles to unlock and raise, the game invites players to find powerful combinations that suit their playstyle.

The game is set to launch this Fall on Switch. More information will be revealed later this Summer, so keep an eye out for more news!
