While there have been RoboCop projects without Peter Weller, it’s Weller who brought the character to life originally, and he’ll forever be the actor the vast majority of fans associate the roll. That’s why it’s so exciting to see him return to the character with the upcoming RoboCop: Rogue City.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, game director Piotr Łatocha talked about what it was like working alongside Weller for the game. It turns out Weller didn’t just deliver lines and call it a day, as he actually offered insight on how and what RoboCop should say in certain instances.

“The best part is that when he (Weller) started, when he entered the studio and started to work on the first line, he was immediately in character. I just love that. …Peter told us some lines that he might say differently, or ‘RoboCop wouldn’t say that that way.’ It’s really helped. It was really cool to see him back in the role.”
