Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay round-up and story/character info from Ed Bookn

Mortal Kombat 1 got revealed recently, and we saw the gameplay debut from Summer Games Fest. That round of coverage has been followed by a ton of gameplay, along with some insight from Mortal Kombat co-creator, Ed Boon.

In the video above, Ed Boon sat down with GameSpot to talk about the changes you’ll see in Mortal Kombat 1, along with the design of Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Kenshi, and Kitana, as well as their story. He also went into details both the “loose combat” design the team has employed this time around for Mortal Kombat, and the brand new kameo system, which sees characters like Sonya Blade, Kano, and Jax enter the fray as kameo fighters.
