SwitchUp: Pikmin 1 + 2 Performance Review
The p in '1080p' stands for Pikmin
YouTube channel SwitchUp has put together a Pikmin 1+2 review focusing on the technical aspects of the games compared to the GameCube and Wii versions.
Here are some of the highlights from the video: The games run at 1080p in docked mode and at 720p in handheld mode, while also being fully adapted to widescreen. As for framerate, the menus run at 60fps, but the game itself is running at only 30fps, however, the game does not seem to present any frame drops. Finally, some small changes have been made to Pikmin 2, like for example, the iconic Duracell battery you find at the start of the game is no longer representing the brand and instead is replaced with a more generic looking one.
