Pikmin 4 video details Glow and Ice Pikmin

Nintendo is very much positioning Pikmin 4 as a first-time Pikmin game for newcomers to the series. The game goes out of its way to explain the basics of Pikmin, and that approach continues with a new video shared by Nintendo.

In the video above, Nintendo breaks down the unique characteristics of Glow and Ice Pikmin, two brand-new types for Pikmin 4. Glow Pikmin glow in the dark, allowing you to explore dark places, while Ice Pikmin can use their icy body to freeze things.

Pikmin 4 is launching for Switch on July 21st, 2023, but a free demo is available on the Switch eShop right now. Save data from the demo will carry over to the full game.
