Back at the start of the month, Nintendo started distributing items for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom through the Switch News channel. Nintendo did the same thing with Breath of the Wild, and it appears they were happy enough with the results to start up the imitative again.

By starting the game from within certain articles released on a specific Switch News channel (accessed via the HOME Menu) players can receive a number of in-game items. Depending on the state of gameplay progression or the location in which the data is reopened, there may be cases in which the items cannot be received.

The third distribution is live now on the Switch News channel, and it offers players a Lizalfos Tail and a Traveler’s Sword. The article itself gives ideas for how players can use this item to their benefit.

Wow, ONE Lizalfos Tail. Considering the exceptionally low drop rate for them this one stings.
I'm glad I didn't update to 1.2. and can dupe them later on.
