UNSIGHTED is an exploration game with a timer mechanic and deep combat. While you’re constantly working against the clock, there’s a mountain of gameplay to explore, and all sorts of secrets hiding just out of sight. There’s plenty to see and do, and it’s going to take a long time to find it all.

UNSIGHTED also has a cast of characters that are largely queer, even if they aren’t given specific labels in-game. This represents developer Studio Pixel Punk extremely well, as they are largely LGBTQ+ themselves.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Studio Pixel Punk’s Fernanda Dias was asked about the queer aspect of the game’s story, and how it was a focus for the team. You can see Dias’ comments on the topic below.

“We don’t think it’s possible to capture every queer experience with a single work, and we don’t attempt to do it. We tried to write something that reflects our own experience, which is varied in and of itself, and that indeed has a lot of sombre moments, but it’s also a story about happiness, about moments big and small and even about catharsis.”
