Nintendo originally released the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Edition GameCube controller back alongside Super Smash Bros. Wii U in 2014. Nearly a decade later, Nintendo fans are still clamoring for a chance to snag one of these brand-new GameCube controllers, and Nintendo is happy to oblige…in Japan.

Amazon Japan has just announced a restock of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Edition GameCube controller, and there’s no doubt the replenishment will get gobbled up quickly. This release is exactly the same as previous versions, including the same price. Those interested can look forward to the stock dropping on August 6th, 2023.

Of course, the big question is whether this points to a restock in other regions as well. We can only hope that’ll be the case, and we’ll let you know if we find any evidence pointing to that.

YES! It means it'll be easier to find when I go to Japan! I'm running out of controllers because of Smash. orz

The post says the Ultimate controller came out along with Smash 4. (It happened with both games and they look different.)
