SEGA kicks off Sonic's "Fast Friends Forever" comic series with a piece by OK K.O.!'s creator
The first of many
Late last week, SEGA launched the new Fast Friends Forever campaign to celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog’s amazing fans. We all know Sonic loves to go fast, but he apparently he also appreciates the importance of friendship, teamwork, inspiration, and loyalty. The initiative focuses on how Sonic and his friends demonstrate these values both in and out of the games.
As part of the Fast Friends Forever campaign, SEGA has commissioned a comic series that will feature a variety of artists throughout its run. The very first comic in this series has been shared, and it was created by Ian Jones-Quartey. For those who don’t know, Jones-Quartey is the creator of OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes, and has also worked on Steven Universe, The Venture Bros., Adventure Time, and more. You can see Jones-Quartey’s comic below.
This Sonic Fast Friends Forever comic will be followed by 14 more issues in the coming months. When new installments are shared, we’ll be sure to bring them to you. All of these comics will be 4-panel features released online, and there’s been no mention of a print collection at this time.
