thatgamecompany is inviting everyone to join the renowned developer’s Sky: Children of the Light in-game in an attempt to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for “Most Users in a Concert-Themed Virtual World.” Fans can get hyped leading up to the record-breaking event with the brand-new trailer posted above.

WHAT: “Sky Kids” will gather in the game’s Valley of Triumph’s Coliseum for a 45-minute in-game concert featuring singer AURORA as thatgamecompany attempts to set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for “Most Users in a Concert-Themed Virtual World.” The goal is to have more than 10,000 real-life players joining together on one screen/shared space at the same time.

WHEN: The main concert will take place from 3-4 p.m. CEST on Friday, Aug. 25, and a countdown to the event can be found on Sky’s official website. Encore concerts will take place every four hours starting at 11 a.m. CEST on Saturday, Aug. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 3.

WHERE: “Sky Kids” – and anyone who wants to be part of a world record attempt – can join the event in-person at gamescom or virtually by logging in to Sky via Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5 and mobile devices.

HOW: To participate in the concert, players need to download Sky for free on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5 or an iOS or Android mobile device and head to the game’s Valley of Triumph’s Coliseum, or speak with the AURORA Guide in Home, to teleport to the event once it’s close to concert time. Players can also watch a stream of the historic gaming event at the same time on thatgamecompany’s Twitch channel. Sky kids can use the hashtag #thatskyworldrecord on social media to engage with the Sky community before, after and during the event.
