One Piece actress Emily Rudd regrets giving up her Pokémon cards and Game Boy Color

The next big thing heading to Netflix is the live-action One Piece adaptation, which arrives on August 31st, 2023. Just last week, we shared a feature with Iñaki Godoy, the actor portraying Luffy in the live-action outing. Turns out Godoy is quite the Nintendo fan, and now we know one of his co-stars is as well.

Netflix has a ‘Growing Up Geeked’ video series they share on YouTube that talks to actors about their hobbies from childhood that have persisted into their later years. Today brings us a feature with actress Emily Rudd, who is portraying Nami in Netflix’s One Piece adaptation.

In this video feature, we learn that Rudd has quite the history with Nintendo, particular when it comes to Pokémon. Rudd talks about watching the Pokémon anime series when she was growing up, and also playing Pokémon games. Unfortunately, like many of us, Rudd got rid of her Pokémon cards years ago, along with her Game Boy Color and Pokémon games. It’s a decision she truly regrets now, as those items hold a lot of monetary and sentimental value!
