It took a long time for Nintendo fans to get their hands on the original Dying Light, but the game finally arrived on May 21st, 2021. The release of that version helped developer Techland achieve a new milestone with sales of Dying Light overall.

Across all versions of the game, Dying Light has now reached 20 million units sold worldwide. Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka said this achievement is a “great example of the unforgettable experiences we create for our players.” It’s not known how many units of Dying Light: Platinum Edition have been sold on Switch so far, but again, there’s no doubt that release added to the impressive tally.

Dying Light: Platinum Edition is available on Switch right now, and it’s a native port to the platform. The sequel, Dying Light 2, is coming to Switch sometime later this year, and it is a cloud-based experience.
