New line of Mario shirts to hit Shimamura stores in Japan
Sweatshirts and hoodies included
Nintendo is teaming up with retailer Shimamura in Japan to launch a new line of Mario-themed shirts, and they’ll be available to purchase starting August 23rd, 2023.
The new apparel line will include three sweatshirts and three hoodies, and they will be available in ‘boy’ sizes. The sweatshirts will be priced at $10.22 a piece, while the hoodies are a bit more expensive at $12.28 each. Some of the sizes will only be found through Shimamura’s online shop, while various options will be available through retail locations.
As you can see, the sweatshirts and hoodies will feature characters like Mario, Luigi and Yoshi. We even see Toad sneak onto one of the options. Each sweatshirt and hoodie will also have a shade that matches the dominant color of each character. Finally, the hoodies will include a tagline below each character as well.
As you might suspect, there’s no word on this apparel line making its way outside of Japan. If we catch any import retailers or hear news of an official release worldwide, we’ll be sure to let you know.
