An underestimated part of the experience
Yet another dev blog for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon has been released, and this one focuses on the game’s user interface design.
Tomoyuki Kondo was the Lead UI Artist on Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, and they’re the one behind this most recent blog. In the piece, they me share some insight and behind-the-scenes info for the design concept of the UI that so beautifully decorates this unique experience.
Tomoyuki says that until a few years ago, the field of UI was a somewhat underestimated element in game development. Developers these days are more invested in producing advanced UI, and this direction is something Platinum has continually focused on in their past games as well. You can see the evolution of their UI ideas and designs in Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon.
