Xbox's Phil Spencer says he 'had a blast' playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder

The love affair between Nintendo and Microsoft has been a few years in the making, but there’s no denying the two are very fond of each other nowadays. What started out as a nice comment here and a simple port there has evolved into a great appreciation from both sides, and that was on display once again at Nintendo Live 2023.

Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, took to his X account to share some comments about PAX West 2023. It turns out Spencer also stopped by Nintendo Live 2023 while out and about, and he put in a good amount of time with Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

As you can see above, Spencer made Super Mario Bros. Wonder the focus of a recent post, and he even posed for a picture in Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s warp pipes. Best of all, Spencer says he ‘had a blast’ while checking the game out, and we definitely know that’s true! Now the question is…which character did he play as!?
