HAMSTER has announced the next title for their Arcade Archives lineup, and it’s a 1991 release from Tecmo. Arcade Archives: Strike Gunner S.T.G. comes to Switch on Sept. 21st, 2023 and it’s priced at $8.
In Arcade Archives: Strike Gunner S.T.G., the player takes control of a high-tech jet, the “Strike Gunner” of the title. In the far future A.D. 2008 aliens have invaded the Earth and launched a full-scale war that threatens humankind. Earth’s scientists have built two of the ultimate weapons, the Strike Gunner, piloted by Mark McKenzie and Jane Sinclair to repel the invasion and destroy the alien armies.
The “Arcade Archives” series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores.
