Aaling The Ghost aiming for Game Boy Color launch via Kickstarter

Retro publisher Incube8 Games and indie development studio Weiwei Leung, announce that Aaling The Ghost for the Nintendo Game Boy Color will be getting released on physical cartridge soon. A kickstarter campaign to finance the game development has been launched today.

Aaling the Ghost is a brand new Game Boy Color game in development. It is a story-driven turn-based RPG staged in a fantasy world based on early Chinese folk beliefs and landscapes. The game features unique characters and maps, in-battle “talk” option, environment puzzles and multiple endings.

Aaling’s life is taken away due to the Nether World’s bureaucratic mistake. After her appeal was neglected, she decides to escape from the Nether World. Soon she learns that the only way to retrieve her life is to seek help from the Queen Mother of the West, an enigmatic goddess who lives on the Kunlun Mountain. Not knowing its exact location, Aaling has only seven days to arrive at the sacred mountain before she vanishes. An adventure full of mysteries, curious encounters, and dives into the unknown has begun, with temptations, threats, and dangers lurking in all directions…
