There are a number of ports to Switch that arrived in stunning fashion, leaving fans seriously impressed with what the dev teams managed to achieve. Some of these titles have been dubbed ‘impossible ports,’ yet the teams behind them somehow pulled off technical wizardry to make things happen.

While there are plenty of impressive ports, there are others on Switch that leave something to be desired. They run the gamut from almost great to severely lacking, but those ports don’t always stay that way. Through multiple updates from the dev teams, these somewhat lackluster ports can end up being the real deal just a month or two after launch.

In today’s video, Digital Foundry has revisited a number of Switch ports to see how they are now compared to when they first launched. The lineup includes No Man’s Sky, The Outer Worlds, GTA Definitive, and Alan Wake, and you might be surprised at just how much better some of these games are nowadays.

If you’d like to read even more of the technical side of things on these ports, you can check out Digital Foundry’s companion feature here.
