If Nintendo is going to have a booth at a big gaming convention, you can bet they’re going to have some tournament action to get in on as well. That was very much the case for PAX Australia 2023, where Nintendo held the Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe AUNZ championships.

As usual, the action was hot and heavy in both tournaments, and those in attendance got to see some pretty fantastic displays of skill. On the Splatoon 3 side of things, the Greasy Goblins took home the big win. The Greasy Goblins are now three-time winners, following up their most recent win from 2018.

Over on the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe side of things, it was Panda who managed to outmaneuver the competition and cross the finish line first. Panda has displayed their skill in MK8D time and time again, constantly racking up amazing finishes that have amounted to numerous world records over the years.

Both Panda and the Greasy Goblins will now move on to the final showdown at Nintendo Live 2024 in Tokyo. Will they take their skills all the way to the top? We’ll have to tune in later this year to find out!
