The most recent issue of Famitsu includes a feature on Compile Heart that reveals the developer has a slew of Switch titles in the works. While we recently learned that TODOKERO! TATAKAE! CALAMITY ANGELS was heading Switch’s way, we now know that Touhou Spell Carnival, Madou Monogatari 4, and Death end re;Quest Code: Zion are also heading over. You can see details on each one below.

TOUHOU SPELL CARNIVAL

  • tactical RPG developed in cooperation with Sting
  • due out Spring 2024 in Japan
  • features character illustrations from Touhou Project reborn with a Compile Heart-like aura by Katsuyuki Hirano
  • story involves a 30-day Spell Card Battle in which many characters participate
  • gameplay involves battle and story parts alternating
  • expect bullet hell of shmups merged with tactical battles
  • battle are in real-time

MADOU MONOGATARI 4

  • first new numbered entry in the RPG series Madou Monogatari after several decades
  • developed by Sting in cooperation with intellectual property holder D4 Enterprise
  • due out Summer 2024 in Japan
  • many former Compile staff are involved, including Sting’s president
  • SEGA is also cooperating, allowing the use Puyo Puyo characters

DEATH END RE;QUEST CODE: ZION

  • spin-off entry
  • due out Summer 2024 in Japan
  • story is connected to Death end re;Quest and Death end re;Quest 2
  • will feature new elements only possible because this is a spin-off
