Microsoft closes deal to purchase Activision Blizzard
All hail our corporate overlords
Back on January 18th, 2022, Microsoft had announced intent to acquire Activision Blizzard. While it seemed like there would be some opposition at first, no one expected the pushback to go on over 20 months. Regulatory boards and other organizations did all they could to stop this deal from going through, forcing Microsoft into the courtroom numerous times. Today, we see that all of it was for nothing on the opposition’s side.
After a few concessions and adjustments, all regulatory boards and organizations have given their blessing to the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Today, Microsoft revealed they are in the clear and the purchase can go ahead. This now means in the near future, Activision Blizzard will officially be under the Microsoft banner.
This deal is being signed for a whopping $69 billion, which shows just how highly Activision Blizzard and its properties are valued. This also means Nintendo fans can look forward to at least 10 years of Call of Duty games on Nintendo platforms, complete with feature parity when compared to other versions.

The plan is going fine so far.

They sure want Nintendo, but don't think they're that easy.

2M agoFeature parity just like MK1 was. I’m skeptical!

FT aren't Japanese and I wonder how much they understand from their culture and how things in general work there, so I'll stay with a slice of common sense instead =D
