For most of its run, David Hayter was the voice behind Solid Snake. That all changed with Metal Gear Sold V: The Phantom Pain, which saw Hayter replaced by Kiefer Sutherland. That moment marked the departure of Hayter from all things Metal Gear Solid…until today.

To promote the recent release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, Konami is kicking off a new video series that shows some of Solid Snake’s finest moments. Who better to host the series than the classic voice of Snake, David Hayter? In the video above, you can check out an introduction to the upcoming docu-series, and it puts Hayter front-and-center.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 features Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, along with the games that started the series – Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and the NES versions of Metal Gear and Snake’s Revenge – and plenty of bonus content.
