Twitch app being removed from Switch Jan. 2024
Guess you'll have to switch to viewing something else
Twitch is one of the biggest video platforms in the world, with millions of people using the service to tune in to their favorite creators. People can access Twitch content through multiple portals, including the Twitch app on Switch, but that option is soon coming to an end.
Amazon is sending out an email to let Nintendo fans know that the Twitch app is going to be removed from Switch on Jan. 31st, 2023. Absolutely no reason for the decision was given, but hopefully more insight is shared in the near future.

We are reaching out to let you know that we have made the hard decision to remove the Twitch App from the Nintendo Switch. The app will be removed January 31, 2024. Thank you for supporting Twitch streamers and communities on the Nintendo Switch.

1M agoThank God. The ability for children to watch those, ugh, video game tournaments using this app is a travesty and a crime against humanity.

1M agoClearly this is because of hot tub streams and other seriously inappropriate stuff normalized on twitch. Including drug use and alcohol consumption, in front of a mostly child audience
