Ys X: Nordics demo available in Japan

Ys X: Nordics launched in Japan back on Sept. 28th, 2023, but just one month later Switch owners have gotten a way to try out the title for free. Falcom and Clouded Leopard Entertainment have announced that a free demo for Ys X: Nordics is available on the Switch eShop in Japan, and it allows players to experience the prologue up until the third chapter. Best of all, save data from the demo can be applied to the full game.

In Ys X: Nordics, the story unfolds in the northern sea Obelia Bay, a bay filled with countless islands of all sizes. Ys X: Nordics, the long-awaited latest installment commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Ys series.

The new “Cross Action” system allows players to fight using two modes: a speedy solo mode in which the player controls gameplay supported by a partner who attacks automatically, and a “combination mode” in which two players simultaneously control a series of actions to engage in a turn-based battle against a powerful enemy!
