Remember the Wii days when you’d hear about senior citizen homes hosting Wii Sports tournaments? Well those days are back, but now we’re replacing the Wii with the Switch.

In Japan, Nintendo has begun an initiative to bring the Switch into senior citizen centers, alongside a variety of first party Switch games. In particular, residents can look forward to playing games like Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Sports, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Nintendo has already hosted a number of launch events for this initiative, and things have gone over quite well. Nintendo has now pledged to bring this opportunity to 200 senior centers in Japan, with plans to expand operations in the future.
